Hi, I’m Al! I’m a soft goods designer and developer who is passionate about thoughtful, performance-driven products that balance innovation, function and aesthetic. My career started in graphic design, which taught me to think beyond the product and I have learned to build brands, tell stories, and create experiences.

For the past decade, I’ve been designing for the equestrian industry and have had the opportunity to dig into a variety of categories from performance apparel and footwear, to waterproof and breathable horse blankets, hand crafted leather goods, equine therapy modalities, innovative barn gear and everything in-between. Over the years I have been inspired by my own equestrian lifestyle, but also the active and outdoors industries where technical design meets real-world demands.

I’m happiest somewhere between the creative and analytical. Where curiosity meets strategy, ideas meet execution, and a good problem becomes an even better product. My work is rooted in research and collaboration and driven by data.

When I’m not at work, you’ll find me on a horse, lake, golf course or side of a mountain, adventuring with my husband and our dog, sitting at my sewing machine, or just cozy on the couch with a good book.
