S/S 27 AA Color

For Spring/Summer 2027, I was tasked with identifying the next standout show jacket color for Alessandro Albanese, a shade that felt fashion-forward and elevated while still feeling distinctly right for the equestrian market.

01—Understand the Brand

I started by reviewing Alessandro Albanese’s color history to understand the shades the brand had already established, what had become recognizable to its customer, and where there was room to introduce something new.

02—Research the Market

I looked at current color offerings from competing equestrian and fashion brands to identify what was already gaining traction in the marketplace. I paired this competitive research with broader fashion color forecasts to understand where color trends were heading for Spring/Summer 2027.

03—Define the Opportunity

Using those insights, I narrowed the research into a selection of potential shades that could position Alessandro Albanese ahead of the market. The goal was to find a color that felt trendy without being disposable, distinctive without being too niche, and different enough from existing offerings to give the brand a clear point of difference.

04—Visualize the Direction

I brought the color concepts to life through Photoshop moodboards, applying the shades to show jackets to evaluate how they looked within the context of the product, brand, and broader seasonal story.

05—Refine the Color

Once the strongest directions were identified, I ordered large physical Pantone swatches to evaluate the colors beyond the screen. This allowed me to compare subtle shifts in hue and saturation, assess how the shades worked against existing market colors, and refine the final direction to ensure it was both exactly right and commercially differentiated.

The process resulted in a color direction grounded in brand history, competitive research, fashion forecasting, and real-world color evaluation, with the goal of making the next Alessandro Albanese show jacket feel new before the market caught up.
